    Hi All:
I have Astra CD 1.6 with immobiliser but no alarm.
I want to install alrm on the car key.
Unfortunately , it didn't work , we have two probs
    Driver first door open.
On and Off light signal are the same.

can you recommend a reliable alarm system and how to install it.

Depends what alarm you have? For door signal Grey wire behind glove box or at light source

From what you have said you need to find a wire that does the drivers door pin switch only and then one for the rest of the doors? Some alarms needed this for certain features

Both these wires can be found in the passenger kickpanel but the one for the rest of the doors will do the drivers to. As above a grey will do them all and it used to be Grey/White for the drivers door only

I tried Gemini, but didn't work , the alarm comes OFF when I open drivers door and then ON again when opening the rest.

I remember that I found an alarm which supports the Driver's door open first feature, but I don't remember it.

well I'm not good in electrics , but as far as I know the alarm is connected with the center lock or the center lock flasher.
It will not work with the center lock itself because the the cars locks itself when spped is 20 KM/h
and the center lock flasher will not work because it's one flash OFF and one flash on ON.

    got me?

Do you have a astra g (mk4) or astra h (mk5). I have to ast this question as what your saying now sounds like you have 2 stage unlocking where on one press of the remote it unlocks the drivers door and a second press it unlocks the rest of the doors. I don't remember this ever being a feature of the MK4's but maybe it was in europe?

Is the alarm your fitting linked to the factory remotes?

Use dead lock wire to arm and unlock to disarm
