    19" versus 17"

    I know i may have asked this before but have looked through and dopnt seem to have had an answer.

    i currently have 17's on my car and am loking at some 19's, if i do this will it affect the reading on my speedo, and will i need to alter this in anyway!!

    google something called "Vauxhall Speed Calculator". Its a program you download, and you tell it info like engine RPM, wheel/tyre size + gearbox and it tells you the speed you'll be doing in each gear (at the RPM you entered)

    Do this twice, once with 17's, and again with 19's and you'll be able to see the difference

    haha, a NavMan GPS thingy said i was doing 70mph when according to my speedo i was doing about 78mph! so i thought id be sensible and stick to my VX speedo even if it is wrong
