    performance mods - which order?

    ok, i have a standard coooooope turblow, in what order should i do some 'power mods' and why? id like, like we all would, to gain the most power but spendling as little money as poss!

    i was thinking superchip and re-map very soon but if i were to mess about by adding more stuff on it, wouldnt i need to get it re-mapped again?

    so, where do i start?

    thanks in advance guys n gals

    the exhaust is allways a good place to start, itll make it a little quicker, and look and sound nicer! £200-£300 will get you a good custom exhaust!

    !st mod should be an enlarged vectra diesel air intake with derestricted air box (see the How-To's for details on this mod)

    a decat precat would be next on my agenda - £100-140 roughly and should give a good increase then id be looking at a cat-back exhaust or better still a cat-back and a sports cat.

    Once these 2 have been sorted then it'd worthwhile getting a remap.
    Remaps are what modern cars use - superchips tend to be fitted to older cars.

    You're porbs best off lookin in this forum for ideas on what other LET owners have done.

    The above is just what I would personally do.

    And yes...do all the physical mods first then at the end have it remapped...

    thanks guys.

    as the cars still under warranty, im fairly sure that i can still do stuff to it as the handbook i got from garage does NOT state that if changes are made, the warranty then becomes invalid. it does state, however, and quite rightly too, that they will not repair/replace any modification not carried out by them nor if a change to the car has occured which has in turn created the fault, then they wont deal with that.

    so as far as im concerened if i wanted to change lets say the back box, and it brakes - they wont repair. nor if it creates a prob up front, they wont touch. but if a fault appears ie broken caliper, then they will repair.

    sorry, ranting abit now.

    ok, ill maybe hold off the re-map or now. saying that, is a superchip a good idea for the extra torque?

    If your not going to push it beyond stage 1 or 2 I would do this;

    Airbox mods + panel filter
    Pre Cat
    Intercooler
    Remap

    If you want to push further then I would do this;
    Airbox mods + panel filter
    Full turbo back exhaust
    Intercooler
    VXR turbo
    Remap + VXR AFM & Injectors
    Arden Astra GSI - Phase 3.5

    EDS Phase 3.5 288 BHP 340 FT/LB

    Inlet cam and Dbilas manifold.
