    H7 HID Kits - Alignment

Bought a HID kit off Scottyboy at Trax and im really pleased with the results.

However just before PVS i fitted a set aftermarket lights, they are made by DEPO and they came from LMF.

Now since having these fitted the light beam as always been out and poiting at the floor, Notice it even more with the HID kit.

Just took it to vauxhall to be told they cant adjust my lights as the HID are just causing a blur and they cant the correct pattern on them.

They said to bin the HID kit and go back to standard, You can imagine my reply.

Thye also said that the bulbs are not fitted right.

Is there a certain way in which the HID bulbs have to sit?

Which aftermarket lights have you got?

If they were pointing to the ground before you had the HID's then I'd find the cause of this problem first. It's probably the reflector bowl that is out of alignment.

Are they both pointing to the ground or just one?

They just look like standard tinted lights mate.

They said that if they block the top half of the light off then it levels out ok but im sure they said that both of them were out.

They said that it may be worth while takin the HID out, putting the standard bulbs in and try setting them up again.

Yes it matters what way they go in.

Thats also why bulb mounts are not fully round but have cut outs so they fit one way.

Did you remove the transit clips from the reflectors on the new lights before fitting them?

    Ian.
Thiink so mate as there was some peices of metal in there that fell out when i took the lights out the box.

On the HID bulbs there is like a blue wire that runs from the base of the bulb to the tip of the bulb.

Is there any particular place that this needs to be?

Bearing in mind i have no way of locking the bulbs in like you can if there were standard halogen bulbs as we had to convert the OE bulb holders to secure the HID bulbs from moving about.
