Hi. I own a 2002 Astra Convertible 2.2,,, problems started when the battery went flat. and was diagnosed as an alternator failure, the car is now in the garage for this. whilst getting the car to the garage i stopped to get something from the petrol station hopped out, 2 mins later tried starting the car again nothing happens. it ticks over and wants to start but just wont even tried bump starting it to no success, the engine management light flashes at you whilst key is being turned to start (the outline of a car with a spanner going up through the middle on the dials) the garage advised me it could be the transmitters in the keys. both keys have been tried out and the car still wont start . Please could someone advise what the problem could be I'm thinking its the immobilisor due the the battery going flat one too many times ??
any replies will be be much appreciated.
