as car was pufing random bouts of smoke, i decided to take it to wallace performance in aberdeen to get the fault resolved and also a power run.
the cars completly standard, or i was lead to believe it was, but someone before me had added a fuel pressure regulator. its one of these variable fse boost valve thingies. it also didnt help the the adjustable part of it was broken!! so, after returning it back to standard, we discovered that the original was blanked off as per the kit. so, it had to back on as they didnt have a replacement regulator available.
anyway, my run made 194.8bhp and 208.4 torque. which is roughly what id expect for a standard car with 50k on it. so its booked in for a chip, re-map and de-cat. should maybe bring it up a little.
whats your thoughts on these aftermarket valves?
