    Question Courtenay Uprated Actuator on standard map

    I'am thinking of buying a vxr turbo & urated atuator from Courtenay i know its ok to run a vxr turbo on standard map but is it ok to run the uprated actuator on standard map ???

    providing u can set it up as a normal actuator (max @ 12psi on a standard map IIRC) it will hold boost better so should give power gains in the upper RPM range as it will/should hold more boost where the standard item would back off. if u go too far the engine will cut out as it wont know how to fuel the engine with more boost. if u ask me it will need setting up properly.

    i ran this setup for about 6 weeks prior to getting my CS3 remap, and it caused no end of problems. it would continually boost out of range and go into safe mode. only way round this was to slacken off the preload on the actautor to the point of getting very lazy boost.
