    Fly by wire, help :(

My fly by wire isnt getting the right signals from the oil tempreture! Which is making my engine managment light come on and as soon as that comes on the van is gutless doesnt move when you put your foot down!! But when it goes of it picks up power! I have a mk4 van 1999 TD! Has anyone had this problem?

A 1999 TD shouldn't have fly-by-wire. It only came in on the 2001 models.

Why do you think it's the oil temperature?

Thats what the new computer system thing said? it said it was the oil tempreture plug, we changed it and it hasnt made any difference! Something is sending a false signal from somewhere in the engine to the ecu or something which is making the engine managment light come on, and my van doesnt have a throttle cable so it would have to be a fly by wire as it works through electronic pulses! am i right?
Does anyone understand what im going on about?
