Pics don't work dude... But it shouldn't have come with the water pipes already moved. Its a royal pain in the arse to do though, I had to modify a allen key to get the VXR water return pipe off my turbo lol

Yup see that pipe coming up just in front of the actuator. That needs to be thrown in the bin..... Then you move the blanking plug up to that hole.

ahh yes i see, so fitting should be exactly the same as the standard unit

i know you've just recently changed yours, any tips?

basically im going to do the following:

    (1) Drain engine oil
    (2) drain coolant
    (3) remove front bumper & radiator
    (4) remove old turbo & fit new turbo
    (5) replace radiator
    (6) replace engine oil
    (7) flush & replace coolant
    ( prime turbo
    (9) replace bumper
    (10) test drive to ensure all is good

also you havent by any chance got the guide that was on the zlet site? im going to be using http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/sh...d.php?t=106285 as a guide

I didn't bother draining the coolant, you only lose the header tank worth of water. So I just topped up with a little coolant, some water and some water wetter.

I didn't touch the radiator either, do you have a front mount fitted??

I found it to be an arse to get the turbo off and on the studs due to the solenoid bracket fauling on the aircon pipes. I've been told I was too gentle but it seemed about 15mm short of coming out lol.

    You didn't say about filter?

Prime definately, I did this quite a few times before starting. Then let it warm up before driving it or reving it.....

Smooth drive for about 3 miles ensuring oil temps were up then I ragged the balls off it LMAO

well being as ive just got the car id like to replace the coolant anyway for my own piece of mind.

I havent got a FMIC so shouldnt be a problem removing the radiator.

I know what you mean about the studs, I can see the bottom ones being a right pain to remove.

I will remove/replace the filer when draining/replacing the engine oil.

Just to be sure when priming the turbo all i need to do is disconnect the coil pack and let the engine turn over for about 30 seconds or so - do this a few times?

cant wait to boot it, havent driven the car in weeks!!!

Think it will definitely be worth writing a guide with loads of pics as i know this is a hot topic and is asked frequently!

Oh right, I just didn't remove rad at all....

I left half the studs in, they were a royal pain in the arse to remove....

Yes thats it for the priming... I also checked oil level and topped after doing this a couple of times then did it a couple more for good measure... I didn't fancy the 30 seconds either, I did a good 15 instead. Poor starter motor

You definately feel the difference, it feels like the car is more willing bottom end. Its real nice top end... Remember the actuator might need adjusting, I set mine to the factory setting and I think it was a little too loaded....
