    PCD 5x110, offset between ET39 and ET49.

If going for big wheels and lowering, try to get closer to ET49 rather than ET39.

Try eBay, there are good packages on there (brand new wheels and tyres), or topgear.co.uk seems to be quite good.

    Welcome to AOC btw

    Welcome to the forum!

As above the PCD's 5x110 but you can get away with slightly different dia's by using wobbly bolts, but theres no shortage of wheels in the right fitment so its unlikely you'll need wobbly bolts.

And don't forget to loo at standard vauchall wheels off higher spec cars and different models, a perfect example being the MK4 turbo rims.

Also in addition to the above....

When fitting aftermarket wheels u can vary the offset depending on what rim diameter and width u go for...

A quick reference guide would be
    For 17/18" wheels in
    7" or 7.5" wide then stick to offset between 38 & 49mm
    8" wide then between 42 & 49mm

Tyre choice is important too - 215/40/17 or 215/45/17 on 17" and 215/35/18 in 18" rims.

Get the offset correct and you can lower upto 60mm without any arch modifications at all.

An ideal size in my opinion is 7.5" x 17" ET40 215/40/17 or 7.5" x 18" ET40 215/35/18... Lowered approx 50mm all round with no rubbing! Smiles all round

PCD as already mentioned is 5 x 110mm with a centre bore of 65.1mm (ie the hole in the middle of the wheel) aftermarket rims will generally be a lot larger - say approx 70mm+ but spigot rings are needed to reduce the bore down to match that of the wheel hubs... (bear in mind that 4studs have a bore of 56.6mm so check before u buy as some suppliers might try to sell u the wrong ones)

    HTH

    Any more questions just ask

Welcome to AOC anyway.....whereabout u from?

Feel free to post some pics.....either of yourself or the car
