    changing wiper arm?

    couldnt figure out wich category,so move if required,lol
    how the eck you change a wiper arm on a coupe? i snapped it at trax
    i took bolt off and then washer,but be buggered if it will come off.

    can some one with haynes maybe fill me in where the f**k im going wrong

    It's on a splined taper, so it's essentially wedged on there, with a bit of corrosion adding to the grip.

    It's just a case of pulling straight upways really

    i used alot of wd40 and then just wedged a spanner underneath it and hit it with a hammer and it popped straight off.

    got same problem on my old tailgate from the Estate. got snapped one off the newer tailgate, but can't shift the old one for buggery. At least with the coupe your wiper arm spline isn't going through the glass either, I don't want to break the glass or cut myself to bits so don't quite know what to do! any help?

    you need a wripper arm puller, can be picked up at most places that do mechancials tools.

    Having struggled with a small three arm puller and ultimately not succeeding, I'd suggest not going for one of the three arm ones, maybe try the larger four arm ones and get ones with large flat hooks too as it'll chew the wiper arm to bits if you're not careful.. I still haven't managed to do mine either, think I'll have to go for a new one
