    car is feeling a bit slow , astra gsi mk4

    i bought a mk4 gsi the other day , 03 reg , the maf was gone so i went and got a new one from vauxhall , the back box has also got a hole in it , would this slow the car down quite a bit , as the car doesnt feel very fast and doesnt seem to have that kick a turbo car should have , or maybe its just the fact that i am used to driving the p1 and ibiza cupra i have

    think about it, you've answered your own question


    turbo's run on pessure, your losing pressure through the hole in your exhaust,

    i'd say fix it

    its already fixed mate , the sealer ring around the exhaust was blowing , got one from vauxhall yesterday

    The z20let doesn't really have any turbo lag, and a very small boost threshold, hence it's megasmooth (and great), while being rather quick.

    Don't expect it to blow you back in the seat at 4000rpm all of sudden...
