    ideas needed

    i have a 99 astra 1.6 8v that doesn,t like starting.
so far i,ve changed the EGR valve, idle control, plugs, coolant temp sensor.
these changes have improved drivability slightly but the engine still doesn,t like starting on a fast idle. from cold it takes a number of turns of the engine then fires and then hunts at around 650-800 rpm and sometimes picks up after a few seconds and settles down.its much the same if you leave it for a while and come back to it..if you switch off and restart it fires up to a fast idle and falls back as normal
any ideas..PS also cleaned the throttle body

    Maybe a faulty throttle body?
The truth is always the truth even if you haven't realised it yet...
