    Offside Brake Light

One of my neighbours let me know that the offside brake light issn't working. Had a look right away and swaped bulbs about both worked so the problem is elsewhere.

Going to try brand new bulbs tomorrow but is there anything else I could check?

    Cheers

try new bulbs first, aren't they duel filament? could it be they are illuminating when you put lights on, but not getting brighter when put brakes on?

    just a suggestion...

try taking the bulb out and turning it round, then putting it back in. as I said IIRC they are duel filament, and in my old peugeot if you got the bulb in the wrong way round it would illuminate the brake light filament all the time your lights were on. simple fix if thats the case

just called the vauxhall garage and they said the same thing.. what order do the lights go down in i.e break then indicator, reverse and lights? or do the break and headlights workt he same just diff brightness..... new to this all.

i think that is all i have done.but why would the booster stay constantly on? so do i have to just make sure it has a single filament in or a double? will fiddle tonight if thats the case..? cheers peteg2004

excuse me for being stupid but what do you mean by booster?

and the order of the lights (I beleive - I have an estate so it may be different) should be taillight/brake (same bulb just gets brighter as you apply the brakes) at the top, then indicator, then reverse light, then fog light.

You want a double/duel filament bulb mate, of type 21/5w. I got mine in Halfords and they call it Bulb #380.
