    sri turbo and gsi advice

well decided that a z20let conversion is just long and my 1.6 wouldnt be able to handle a turbo so ive ditched the idea.

with a little help from my Dad i can insure a legit GSi or SRI-T for £1700

so time to sell up the 1.6

just wondering what were the main diffrences between the gsi and sri t and what would be the going price for either

    thanks

    GSi = Way too common

SRi-T = Much nicer Looking and cheaper but not as comfy without leather interior etc.

GSI all the way (imo, as i own 1)
    nicer bodykit,
    colour coded,
    better lookin wheels,
half leather Recaro's (or full depening wether it was added)
switchable TC,(not sure if the SRi has this or not)

the GSi will cost you more but well worth it imo.

the Gsi has nicer seats part leather Recaro seats
    is colour coded
    and switchable tc

the gsi dose cost a bit more then a srit
but you could also do this
    Sri Turbo
    fit some coupe leathers £400
    TC switch £30
an have a very nice spec car for less then a Gsi
a bit of paint on rub strips an door handles £100

Have you considered goign for a Coupe Turbo, EDIT: (I checked I think they are the same insurance group ) I am sure that they are a lower insurance group but I could be wrong.

You will also get one a little cheaper to save some pennies for insurance or additions to the car.

not a great fan of coupes, ive only rely seen one that i thought wow and that was LEE GSIs.

also just done my boot build for the hatch so it would be a shame to waste it

No reason to get the look you want with a Coupe all you need is the bumper and DTM rear wing and other parts obviously

I am sure the side panels are moulded similar, just a bit longer for your ICE.

I think they and more sleek and I would have one in a minuite

dont be fooled by the RECARO logo on the GSI seats

they were designed by recaro and built by vauxhall which means a very poor build quality

    they squeek like a mofo

anyway both cars have their good and bad points tbh

i have owned two GSI's now so if it was me i would go for an SRI-T and the money i saved on not going for the GSI i would stick in decent seats and re-trim
