    hatch boot install

    hi all,

looking for a little help with a boot install. Not looking for anything crazy jut a pair of subs and a amp.

i have seen what i wnat before but cant seem to find it.

i basicly want to build a fake floor with to boxes at the back and the amp in the middle all intergrated in.

i would like to have the subs tilting up.

    something like this,

except with carpet and have the subs in the correct way

    now my queastion is

1, what are the measusements to cover the boot of a hatch
2, needs to be able to taken out in case of puncher
3, how would i build the boxes on each side.

    thanks in advance

1, what are the measusements to cover the boot of a hatch - use the carpet out the boot for size
2, needs to be able to taken out in case of puncher - see my sig for my solution
3, how would i build the boxes on each side. - mfd? really depends how far you want to go, you could even fiberglass it into the side of your boot

1st off, what is the best way to cut the holes on the mdf to perfectly fit the subs. - jigsaw and then sand down

    2. how many channel amp do i need to run 2 subs and a pair of 6x9, the subs are 1200 watts each - not my strong point!!

    3. what is the best methos is carpeting the lot, i was thinkin of useing a staple gun but dont want them to show - i use this spray glue stuff, think i got it from a DIY store

this is the amp im looking at, mainly because it looks cool, lol

    http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/products...00F/index.html

and will be running a pair of these and if posible dash a set of 6x9s in there aswell

    http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/prod...d2_p-22817.htm

then im gunna think about sticking a tv screen in the mix somewere.

will that amp be up to the job, and if not does anybody know of a pionner one that will

bit of a tart and would like everyhting to be pioneer so it matches

thanks in advance and thanks for everybodys input so far

Is 1200w the max power or the RMS? (just seen link there 400w)

You need 4 channels to run 2 subs + 2 6x9's (one channel per speaker)

Out of interest why are you running subs + 6x9's?

If it was me, i'd use one amp for the subs, then another for the speakers. You need at least 800w ideally for the subs, the amp you posted the link to would be ok to run both the subs, but it wouldn't be getting the best out of them.

not looking for crazy bass just somehting to add to what i ahve got,

on the subject of 6x9s and subs i have been adviced that is the bets thing to do.

not to sure on power stuff but i have a spre pionner amp that i could use to power the 6x9s and hide it in the build some were.

if that amp is no good for the subs could you recomend one please
