    what gains/benefits would you see from these mods??

    lightened fly makes the engine change speed more easily. both up and down the revs.

    So it'll rev quicker but it'll also loose engine speed quicker too I'd imagine if you had it too light it wouldn't idle too well.

    Quicker acceleration but worse fuel economy as the car won't 'coast' for as long on its own.

    Don't think it would effect top speed.

    does anyone know how much quicker the let tends to be after these modifications? i know it wont be anything major but am intrigued as to whether its worth getting done

    fu... the acceleration and whatever. Lightened flywheeel in set with new clutch like Sachs Performance with sinter disc gives so much pleasure when shifting thst I can't even describe it - GO for it !

    Ive got both the uprated clutch and lightened flywheel fitted by Courtenays last year.
    Major improvement as the engine is quite rev happy now, would say ive noticed a massive difference in mpg though. Well depending on how its driven of course

    I would go as far as saying it becomes shit, mine probably averages 28mpg
