    Seat tilting handle removing?

How do you remove the seat tilting handle?

Just got a new one and it looks like brute force to pull it off???????????

    Anyone done it?

How do you know when the cable has snapped ... does it cause the seat to lean to one side? When I pull my passenger seat it just clips out ... i dont need to pull the lever lol!

oops thought you meant the height adjust handle lol
to get the old one out you need to unclip the back of the seat, start at the bottom right then pull down,

then the same on the 2 sides,
then there should be 2 bars hooked on to the wire mat, unclip them, then there should be a strip inside at the top unclip that,
then put your hand up towards the tilt mechanism inside the frame and you should feel a type of pin that you can pull out
i will take some pics on 2morrow night when im back in work if you like

i looked inside the tilting handle (when lifted) and couldnt see the screw. ive taken the seats material off the clips and cant see how to replace the cable. the top of the cable (where the two meet) seem to be encased in metal which looks impenetrable.

any help would be greatly appreciated because its going to cost about 100 quid to get vauxhall to repair it.

Ours had snapped and been bodged back together.

    More pictures would be great.

well i bought the car and all cables on both seats have snapped. ive got new cables but cannot see for the life of me how to put them in the holster at the top.

pics would be great. especially where the screw is inside the handle becuase i really cant see it. ive bodged the seats so they tilt using two pieces of string attatched to the handle going down to the two bits which lift.
