smoothing irmy bumper skirt to bumper?

I will be needing my front and rear bumpers respraying in the future and i also have an irmscher rear bumper skirt to fit. I was wanderig if i could get another rear bumper from the scrappy and mess about trying to smooth/flush the irmscher skirt to the bumper so there is no visible join. I have seen this done with front splitters & bumpers - but would the filler eventually crack?

what would i need to use; fiberglass, bodyfiller?

(i know it would be hard but i could take my time on this as i would be doing it to a spare bumper )
