What phone, tv and broadband package?

I am moving house soon and I am thinking of what would be the best phone and broadband package.

in my current place I have BT line, SKY+ and Orange broadband (BB is free with my orange mobile contract).

Im not sure what I should go for in my new place.

    1. BT for tel and broadband + SKY for entertainment
    2. Fully SKY package - tel, tv and broadband
    3. Virgin media -tel, tv and broadband

As we have recently had a baby and we are moving house, I need to keep costs down to a minimum which is something that needs to be taken into consideration.

So what are your thoughts guys?

Do you need to pay for you BT line as well as the Sky one?

I'm with virgin mainly because I cannot get digital TV in my area and I was with NTL for my broadband and phone anyway. I got the lot and went for the 'L' package with them. Very happy with them cost is pretty good as far as I'm concerned (this being the first time I've moved out of home). Plus my missus loves the playback feature, she gets to catch up on Hollyoaks that she misses during the week!

    I'm pretty sure Iam paying £35 - £45 for all that. I can't remember.

There doing a 3 for £30 deal at the moment http://allyours.virginmedia.com/webs...ct.do?id=11039

As an incentive Virgin Media are bringing in 20Mb Broad Band at some point in the next few weeks if it's not already done in most places.

Could be interesting to see how much higher they go considering there the only one's using fiibre optic lines and it makes no difference to the speed of your Broad Band if your miles from there exchange where as others it does.

You can on the vigin media site. TBH most SP's will do a speed check on your line

Nick do you have fiber optic going into your house? I don't know of anywhere near me that has fiber optic going into a residential property.

Virgin can only offer me - up to 8mb.

Yeah i have the fibreoptic coming into my house. It comes from the TV service and runs from the box they attach.

Because they took over NTL they do offer Broad Band over normal lines as well so that my be why they can only offer you up to 8mb.

If this is any use to you
