    My courtesy car for today

My Mini Cooper is in gettin a service an i was told i would get a car to use as it would be in all day. Anyway i got to the BMW/Mini garage at 10:15 to be told that all the cars had been issued out. I thought great, the service guy was like hang on, all double check again, so 20mins later he comes back an says right we have a brand new 5 series, my eyes lite up thinkin oooh cool. Then someone else walked upto the guy an said blah blah we have a Mini available. I was like damn, bet i get the Mini.
Anyway the guy showed me out to the Mini an i was like wohoo. He had to show me the whole key fob an push start button job.

Heres some pics of the car

Sorry got a bit carried away taking pics of it since its a gorg day.
Its quite quick an has a fair amount of torque steer even with the traction control. Feels very solid, nice drive. Copes well in town/city traffic but on back roads i think its a bit to twitchy, tbh i prefere my N/A Cooper for back roads as i think the Cooper S jumps about to much on little bumps on road etc.
I love the interior an like the layout, its a bit diffrent to my Mini. Also noticed that when i got home that before i went to turn it off it sounded a bit on the tickety side if you know what i mean. Kinda reminded me of my old Fiesta but not as bad lol.

Overall i think its a fab car

Well i found out the reason why it was being a bit on the twitchy side on back roads etc an goin over bumps n road...there was to much air in the tyres lol.

Got my Mini booked back in next month cos it needs a new air bag wiring loom thingy so i wonder what car i will get for the day

I thought only the diesel engined ones used the pug/toyota engines? (on the older ones atleast, all the new MINIs use BMW engines)

My sister has a MINI Cooper S but shes selling it as its crap, its good to drive, no question about that but as an everyday car its no good, poor fuel consumption, very harsh ride.. and not to mention crap quality interior.

The turbo one i had today was actually very good on fuel, didnt use anymore than what my Mini would so i was very surprised at that..the guy in the dealership was sayin that the supercharged one uses more fuel than the turbo one.
I find the interior quality in the new one to be very good. tho sayin that i think my 6-7yr old mini's interior is good. Nothin rattles or squeeks etc, which surprises me.

Ah right never knew that, so does that not mean pug are using the bmw engine though as im pretty sure BMW went to their own engine development plant to get the engines this time?

My sisters is the old supercharged one, hence the shit fuel consumption.
As for the interior it was squeaking and rattling since it left the factory, then the inside door cover fell off. Shes not been impressed really, but its good to see they seem to have sorted this out with the new model.
