Do you prefer the coupe shape to the hatch?

If so - yes it probably is if you will enjoy it more.

    If not - I wouldn't bother

    ive got a 1.6sxi.

Im bored of it and bored of the colour, and im changing to a black 1.8sri, a few reasons really:

    1. All i can get insured on

    2. Want a fresh start in modding a newer one

    3. Want a differant colour

    4. Want something with a bit more poke behind it thats worth spending money on

the 1.8 is not a bad lump to go for but going from a 1,6 to 1,8 you wont notice a lot more power
I liked my 1,8 a lot i have had the thing for 7 years now
have a look around for insurance on a 2,2

Ive have checked the insurance, but im only 19 and have 1 claim already. im looking at £2000, thats me a named driver on my mums police.
On a 1.8 its only £850. So its a big differance. I do realise what your saying though, and i respect people who think its not worth it. Sometimes i consider not doing it but as i say at the minute im bored with the 1.6, with the 1.8 i want to start fresh if you see where im coming from?

when you look at 1.8's make sure you go for one with 5 stud wheels
how about the 2.0Dti they are nippy cars i had to change back to 2nd gear in my Zaffy to keep up with SimonDti in his car
