    exhaust blowing help to stop it

    hey all i recently bough a brand new backbox and midsection for my 2000 1.6 16v astra i have fitted it but it still blows from the top of mid section join to the cat


    any help on how to seal it would be great
    for all interested both backbox and midsection were purchased from brown bros
    and was giving a standard gm u bolt clamp i dont know the name lol
    so i went to local avtaylors and bought 2 more u retainer bolt things would it harm my exhuast to put all three on it really gets to me the blowing esp with the windows down and in 2nd gear going round corners its horrible

    you're better off breaking the join and getting some firegum paste in there, then clamp it back together.

    Then you'll only really need the one clamp...but add others if you still feel it's necessary.

    take it off an give it a clean up with some wet an dry to clean all the rust a old exhaust paste away.
    put some new exhaust paste on the pipe an refit the new pipe to the cat an clamp it into place
