    Question White Heater Dials?

Just had my centre console sprayed star silver and whilst its in bits I decided to order some white heater dial faces to match the white dials on the clocks. They should be here in the next day or 2. Has anyone already got these fitted and do they look any good (pics) ? I'm having second thoughts.

    Cheers

    Danny

If it's the self adhesive ones, they are good, make sure you cut them out properly
( they don't work too well in the dark though )

Im assuming they're self adhesive. They were just a cheapo buy from e-bay. It seemed like a good idea at the time..lol

    These are it....

Thought I can't go wrong for £11.70 but know im thinking you get what you pay for.. lol

I'll have to wait and see what they look like when I put them in. I can always take them back out hey )

If they're the ones I got, they're a white dial with black numbers.
problem in the dark is that the old dials were black with transclucent numbers.
Therefore at night when the lights are on, the numbers don't light up ( cos they're black)
even worse, if they're not lined up exactly, you can see the old numbers through the white dial next to the black numbers.

Look ace if you've already got white speedo dials though.

I got mine in the post today, directly from the seller making them, for much cheaper.

Thought I'd remove the original black ones and stick these in its' place to allow more light through. Has anyone tried this?

I've already removed the old black dial faces and im just waiting for the new ones to arrive to stick on. I'm just left with the holes where the light shines through at the minute. I've jusy got to line the numbers up with the holes and hey presto.. lol.

drewwhelan - Maybe they would light up ok if you were to remove the old black dial faces before fitting the new white ones.

I'll let you know how mine light up when I fit them.

To be honest, I just stuck them over the top as the instructions suggested, but if they look good now you've removed the old faces, I'll have another bash.

    Cheers.

lmao @ Rakesh... cheers for that. I hate the feeling that i've been conned. Oh well hey. That'll teach me to rush in on these impulse buys. lol.

My heater dials arrived today, the instructions say to stick the dials over the original ones like drewwhelan has done... but i've waited till it goes dark and offered them upto the heater in this way and as he stated, very little light shines through. So I removed the original ones and offered just the replacememnt dials uto the heater and it looks a million times better ) (sorry drewwhelan)

I'll stick them on perminently when I get time and re-build my dash. Thats the way to go folks.. ditch the originals and just use the new ones )
