    New Handbrake

So how do I fit it then!

Is it easier to take off old handle/gaitor and stick on new one, or to replace the whole lever?

Is it genuine Vaux? I replaced my GM handbrake with one that had a chrome button and it was a whole lever change jobbie. Quite easy actually.

Easy 10 min job, replace whole lever, remove handbrake gaitor and undo 4 bolts and unplug handbrake cable, insert new lever carefully (can be a bit awkward) and then put 4 bolts back on and re-connect the cable. (you'll understand more when you remove the gaitor and see).

I've taken the gaitor off, looked at the current handbrake etc.

The only problem I can see is keeping the handbrake cable there, while I change it over. Is this a problem or hard to do?

It's ok, I've done it. Wasn't too bad, I was convinced the handbrake cable was gonna disappear down the hole in the car! What is the point of the two plastic things that were there as well? I didn't replace them (it) because I lost one, and can't really see the point of them! Cheers for help though, you were right, an easy job! Just a case of figuring it out!

The two white plastic lug things? Yeah i wondered that too, but they just help to keep it secured to the floor as I remember. Not mandatory i don't think Well done BTW.
