the dodgy idle should be cured by cleaning the entire throttle body out with carb cleaner....unfortunately your X18XE1 is the odd one out in the X series in that it doesnt have a seperate idle control valve but its incorporated into the throttle body itself.

This should sort out the idle issue - maybe resolve your other issue too. In an ideal situation you would remove the TB from the intake manifold and give it a damn good clean away from the car - this isnt always possible so do the best u can. Hopefully there'll be shitloads of carbon deposits and therefore cleaning this way should restore a healthy 950rpm idle or whatever the preset level is.

when first starting the car after it has cooled down it cuts out becoz if low rpm so u need 2 rev before the rpm drops off, could this be off the idle control valve aswel ?

very possible.......but it could also be a dodgy EGR valve... this is a very common problem.

I suggest u clean the throttle body as I mentioned and also clean the EGR valve whilst ur at it. Theres instructions in the HOW TOs on the main forum page
