East Midlands & Staffs regions meet at Clumber Park

Well what a day. Was very suprised by Clumber Park, its so large and you really can go there and find a quiet corner if you want, explore or play football/cricket/whatever without worrying about annoying anyone.

Superb meet location. I'd like to thank John & Steve for their hard work and dedication to their region without which this meet wouldn't of happened. Also to the members who took time out of their day to come and play .

    Anyway down to the pics.

The Staffs region met up at Lichfield in staffs and soon hit the M1 heading for Trowley services. Its at this point I realised if I don't take action I'd end up with drivers arm. Knowing I'd purposely searched the house and found my factor 30 I then left the bugger at home . Luckily Chris had brought some with him .

V6 Andy delayed us by going the wrong way down the A50 Doh!!!!

So whilst in the services I whipped out the camera!

The 'Twins' for the first time in probably years were reunited. Peckys blue cabby and DJ_BMC's blue cabby. (There brothers BTW although they'll deny it if you ask them )

Chris's (DJ-BMC) shiny cabby. Probably cleaned by his bar staff. They'll do anything to go home early

    10 minutes later....

Danny turned up after a brisk pace down the m1

Heres the cause of the problem. Although by the looks of it worth waiting for. Very nice car Andy!!!

Off we went Satnav's intune with each other. Going down the M1 I was watching the mirrors and watching the cars accelerating up to the first stopping with them for a couple of miles then progressive forwards to the next. Until they came to my car and they just accelerated off

We entered Clumber Park with the Satnav's telling us we had 30 minutes to 1 mile left to go . After turning in the wrong direction I came accross Keith in his lovely Lotus Carlton, who couldn't find his region either. We compared notes and decided to go the 1 direction we hadn't been. Long and behold there they were...

John already with the BBQ out and fired up waiting around for the rest of us.

    Anyway down to the cars...

Gareths silver 5 door with a GSI bumper that really does look the part

Zaffy all present and accounted for...

Still love snowflake alloys. So jelous. Also what a shine. Certainly is a credit to the region!

    V6 Andy's gorgeous SRI..

    RIP the A50/M1 flies.

Dannys standard CDX was up for the trip. Unfortunatly after setting off he got the dread EML on his dash!!! But don't worry its in Vauxhall today to be sorted

    The terrible twins were next

    The Pecky mobile...

    DJ_BMC's mobile...

    Someone shed came along too...

My new showplates my birthday present from my Sister in Law and her partner.

    Keiths beast!!!

Gorgeous front end and those bonnet vents hinting at something special

Very clean once again Keith. See the reflection...

of this gorgeous MK3. Superb styling lovin it!!!

We even had an ex astra owner turn up. No idea what he drives

Quick quick back to the astras...

    Johns stubtly modded MK5..

The fly's also lost the battle on the way to Clumber park. But it certainly was clean and shiny when it started though...

Hi folks. AOC/AS members just chilling.

From a stublely styled MK5 to an outrageously styled MK5...

Mito's brand new body kit on his new MK5. Certainly turned a fair few heads.

and the proud owner with his pride and joy.... Smile

    On his way home...

The side profile you've been asking for...

Once Mito had left I noticed something not quite right with the land behind him...

    A camo Mk4

Once again a really clean car showing the East Mids really know how to look after their cars. If anyones ever been to my meets they'll know my car is always filthy dirty.

A late arrival but welcome none the less...

Hardon Blue GSI - superb. Unfortunatly I'd filled my memory card which stopped me from getting any more shots!!!

We also had another arrival from Vauxhall turn up...

Once again thank you for everyone who turned up and made the day what it was and thanks to the East mids for being so hospitable. Your cars are a real credit to you and your region.

Had a great day but had to leave early to hit another party so I'm sorry I went so early guys. Looking forward to future joint meets!!!

Looks like I missed a good meet

Most of the meet/show dates fall on weekends when I have competitions

Glad you all had a good time, sounds like the BBQ went down a treat as well
