Side repeater - how to remove it electrically?

    hello!

I want to supress my side repeater. But if I remove the lamp the front and rear repeaters will be flashing like crazy, won't they?

How can I remove the lamp but the car still "thinks" it's there?

    Thanks!

why do you want to remove them i thought it was required to have by law, but my guess is it you join the 2cables of the light together to complere the circuit (just a guess tho)

Surely that would give you a short-circuit? You will blow the fuse and possibly cause other damage.

I think you need to replace the lamp with a matching resistance resistor.
Or leave the lamp connected but find a way to 'cover/hide' it... ?

It has to work to be legal. But I don't believe police or MOT (i think this is how you call it in UK) will bother me because of that. I play stupid and say it stopped working that precise day...

    astradti,

With all due respect, why do you want your side reapeter not to be working?!? Other lower end cars are putting side repeaters to make their car look better and it gives the other cars better view on which side you are going (left side or right side of the road). Sorry mate I just don't see the logic? Kindly advise so I'll have a better understanding?!
