is it normal? i hit rev limiter and car goes std?

my gsi is stage 2 courtenays. i have hit the limiter twice now by accident (just gets there so bloody quick!) and engine/spanner light comes on, car only boosts like it did standard(8psi). but after a while the light goes off and wow its mental again?? (hitting 15psi)

    is this normal?

    cheers

    Very helpful comment.

My car is doing similar - on the standard map, limp home will not allow the turbo to boost at all (iirc?) so the modified stuff may be slightly different.

Maybe take it back to where it was tuned or to a Vauxhall garage to get the fault codes read. Beware though, if you go to Vauxhall, tell them that you do not want any software upgrades done!
