    destroying an Oil cap

    yo yo,

    who has taken apart the yellow Z20LET standard oil cap so that they can fit a chrome top?

    if so ... how the f..... do ya get the yellow lid away from the base?

    i haven't done a ZLET one but i assume it's very similart to a Z18xe. I clamped the yellow part in the vice and destroyed around it IIRC
    Coupe now being broken for parts

    Cut/peel it away and use a small flat blade screw driver to prise it off.

    Some pop off easy, others need all the yellow cutting off lol

    me i find it helps to bung it in hot water for a few mins an just pull apart
