    How to remove mirror covers

Before I attempt to remove my chrome mirror covers where is the best place to take them off from? Can they break easily?

i managed to get mine off the mk4 before so i could colour code them.

i used a small screwdriver dressed with electric tape so it didnt scratch the plastic.

iirc i prised the cover from its outer edge (the edge of the wing mirror).

I slowly worked my way around the edge of the mirror backing using my fingernails and blunt screwdriver, just take your time and eventually it will just pop off.
