    quick lowering question...

    just a quick question,

if I got lowering spings that reduced the height of my car 30mm, being an sxi which I believe is already 20mm lower than a astra club for example, would my car be 10mm lower than it is now or would it be 30mm lower?

basically what i'm asking is what car do the spring manufacturers refer to when they say 30mm?

    really?

so if I lowered the front on 50mm and the back on 30mm, then I would in theory be lowering by 30mm on the front and 10mm on the back sompared to how the car sits now?

    I have a 53 plate sxi 1.6 btw

    cheers

As long as u have the correct tyre size and wheel offset then u can quite happily low upto 60mm all round.

Personally I have 7.5 x 18s on 215/35/18 rubber with an ET40 and mine is lowered approx 60/50 with no probs whatsoever

    see pics in garage <---

the wheels are 18" by 7 wide with 215/35 tyres so don't see that there would be a problem with lowering it. Just want to know whats the best height to go for really. Any side on pics or recommendations?
