    Thumbs Up Pleasant dealership experience

After being dismayed with one well known local dealership, I tried another one this week. This company used to be a Rover dealership, but for obvious reasons has recently changed marque to Saab/Vauxhall, but only do spares repairs and servicing at the mo (no car sales), so I thought I'd give them a try. To say the least I was amazed!!!

Shock 1 - Walking across the showroom to the parts counter all the staff I passed said hello.

Shock 2 - I rang the bell on the parts counter and a chap appeared almost instantly.

Shock 3 - I described what I wanted (I don't subscribe to the cult of part numbers), and he found them on EPC very quickly.

Shock 4 - Whilst he went in the back to look (about 4mins), 3 other members of staff came over and asked if I was being attended to.

Surprisingly enough they didn't have them in stock, but no biggy as they were not run of the mill bits and I didn't expect them to, so an order was taken and he said they would call me when the arrived ("yeah, yeah" I thought).

Shock 5 - next day at 11:30 I got a call saying they were here

Shock 6 - On going down to collect them, I was met with the same courteous, and speedy service.

So now I have a new favourite dealer.

So big up to Lloyd's in Carlisle

Lanehouse Vaux in Weymouth are a bit like that, except the guy doesn't phone when parts come in, but all the staff are curteous (sp?)

Sorry, people don't get that sort of service as normal? The three dealerships over here I use are all like that (two are the same company and one is a family run dealership).

Then again, Vauxhall cut out all the dead wood dealerships out of N. Ireland about 15 years ago.
