I got the unit out ok but i cant get the cage out, its a right pain, it doesnt have any of the normal clips around the side holding it in, just a screw in the back, i took this off and it still wouldnt come out!! can anyone help please?

    thank a lot

You have to get a screwdriver or something and lever down the top middle part of the cage, and bottom middle. The long side, which is weakest will do! Is it a standard vauxhall cage?

yes standard vaux cage, well as far as i know but ive never seen one like it.

what do you mean by the long side which is weakest?

a lever in the top, bottom and one side? where is it attatched to though that is what i dont understand, why wil it not come out even though i have undone the screw in the back?

Push the cage in the directions of the arrows. Both arrows are meant to be vertical, so push top-bottom.

Like that, hope this is a better explanation!

Yeah give it some, properly bend the metal otherwise it won't budge. The cages in Vauxhalls can be tought *******s sometimes, I had to use a lot of force on an Astra cage at work! Keep trying, and bring back photos if still no luck!
