    Mk4 GSi query

Query regarding the passenger seat in a Mk4 GSi (possibly the drivers too i didn't check).

I previosly had a Mk4 SXi, when letting someone into the back, you would pull the lever on the side of the seat to bring the back of the seat down, then the seat would slide forward, then when putting the seat back you could simply slide the chair back and return the seat to the upright position.

In the GSi it doesn't appear to be the same? Is it correct that you have to pull up the lever under the seat at the front to move the seat back to the original position?

    Cheers.

Thanks for the reply chrisvenn. What is likely to be wrong then, do you have any idea how much it would be to fix it?

    Cheers.

Theres a cable from the lever at the shoulder to a pivoting bracket at the pivoting point in the seat. maybe check that the wire has not come off. I would suspect thats the case. Otherwise you'll have to strip the back of the seat off to get a better look.
