    Vxr turbo

    Hi peeps,

    I fitted my vxr turbo on sat and WOW what a difference!

    But how long do i run it in for??

    what do you mean how long do you run it for?

    do you mean how long do you need to run it in?

    what kind of difference did you see? was it as quick to get onto boost etc???

    i meant run it in, i dont wanna rag the car and then blow the turbo up!

    the induction noise is a lot louder which means its sucking harder then a kings cross wh@re

    i didnt floor it that much but it did push me back into the seat which put a smile on my face

    my boost gauge went up 16psi (normally 12psi).... i dont know if thats good??

    Still need a remap to get the most from the turbo

    take it easy mate i will bring my laptop to ace cafe incase you have any probs u still wont be able to keep up with us though

    Apparently new turbos don't have a breaking in period, as long as they are oiled up right they can run straight away. Mate had his turbo replaced then promptly went on the rollers no problems!!
    COuld be wrong but thats what I heard from a Batley turbo mechanic!

    when i fitted mine i primed it with oil and did run it in slighly but not alot (mainly because i couldnt resist the temptation! ) and mine has run fine and had no problems at all.

    Just so long as you placed oil in it when you fitted it, then it will run straight out the box.
