mate, what are they charging you for fitting, im a serious novice and ive done one before, really, really easy to fit.

You just have to watch out, some induction kits (or most) suck in alot more dirt than a standard air intake, if you look avbout on here, alot of people including myself just deresrict the standard airbox!!

    £130

it would be 95 just for the kit and fit but he saying that if i want really extra power go for the one where he'll bolt it on the engine (some extra bit) where theres more cardboard in a tube (he described)

bit hard to explain hope that helps?

you may be better power wise going for the derestricted airbox, unless your after the sound that induction kits offer

the derestricted air box offers more power for over half the price

I'd seriously cancel the booking, and forget an induction kit

Derestricting the standard airbox etc is far far better

    Dirt?

Induction kits sound awesome. However on Astras most (NOT all) people who've fitted open cones (there are closed induction kits that don't have this problem) them have found they draw in too much hot air from the engine bay and reduce performance.

However with every rule there's the exception, a few people on here have not had this trouble.

If you want an open induction kit, fit it yourself. So easy to do. and make sure you fit a heat shield between the come and filter.

Plus you'll be able to spend that cash on something else.

And for your information. I have a de-restricted Airbox. Pipercross panel filter and Vectra C air Intake (DONT buy one of these off eBay, they're under £15 from your local Vauxhall dealer ALL info is in the How To section)
