Has anybody got a "universal intercooler" on their GSI?

Ive stumbled across www.universal-intercoolers.co.uk They seem very good and are very reasonably priced. Has anybody on here got one? I was gonna get regal phase 2 soon, but the cost of the 9ltr one is so dear. Will this make much of a difference? Am i right in thinking its 7 tlrs?

    Your thoughts please guys.

They are the ones that I was doing the group buy on but he has now lowered the price so that his now cost the same as the group buy.

There are quite a few on here with them.

Very good intercoolers. I had mine rolling roaded at 217bhp on the standard map and I know others running upto 290 bhp throughthem

Was that expensive mate? So everything fitted in nicely once the slim fan was fitted. What capacity is your one then?

the fan or the intercooler? i bought my fan for only $90 (er 40 squids) and my cooler core dimensions are 550x180x70. dont know what the capacity is, have only ever seen coolers labelled as 9l /7l etc in the uk, jap/aust/usa just list the sizes and rows, and fin type etc.

Now, this is my logic. Atm i have a standard 5? litre intercooler. If i had a 9ltr side mounted one fitted only part of it would be cooled by air flow as most sits behind bumper. whereas this fmic sits almost completely in the air flow so am i rite in thniking that id get better gains from that even tho its a smaller capacity?

you will probably get slightly better gains with the fmic but theres nothing wrong with the smic i had one one on mine running 310 bhp no problems and the smic cant be seen a bonus imo

Courtenay state that their front mount has a cooler charge than their side. So even if you can run 310bhp through the side I bet after the turbo is glowing you'd lose more power.... Also the good thing about having a 7litre rather than the 9litre is there would be less lag.

I've just won a universal intercooler off ebay lol
