    Removing headlights, quicker way??

I have read in the haynes manual and it says you have to remove the bumper to take the headlights off of the car. Is there a quicker way of doing this as it seems quite long winded just to take the headlights off. (i found that haynes seem to tell you 'the long-way' around quite alot of the time)

the bumper has to come off, as at the bottom of the head lights there is a screw behind the bumper, and to get to the screw the bumper has to come off

it's just that i have a project to do on the headlights meaning that i'll have to keep my bumper off for a couple of days...obviously i won't be driving it, but i don't have a garage so will be doing it out on the roadside lol.

It's no big problem, i'm just a lazy ba5tard lol! I'll do it the weekend maybe. I'm planning on taking the lenses off and spraying the chrome inserts black like the standard gsi ones. Also my lenses were quite frosted and misty so i'm going to wet&dry them and polish them up with xerapol with a buffing drill attatchment.

(basically a refurb on my lights)

Would simply spraying the chrome inserts work? Would you need some sort of special reflective paint?
