    astra sri tweaking!

I have finally started to tweak my astra sri 1.8 16v on a 51 plate. I've already started with the basics, magnex cat back stainless steal system and a K&N 57i induction kit. Next i was thinking of magnecor ht leads and a fse boost valve. I don't want to start spending silly money, otherwise i might as well look out for a gsi!!!!
any thoughts on what to do next?

Hi and welcome to AOC, get pics of your car up ASAP

Could always go for a set of fast road cams, maybe a remap and uprated manifold, but it depends on how much you want to spend really.

The coil pack on the 1.8 is bolted straight on top of the sparks plugs so there's no leads to change. The boost valve is an uprated fuel pressure regulator that probably won't do much on your car and on my 1.8 I've never found the original regulator anyway, think it is in the tank!

    Welcome to AOC btw

First thing I would do is throw the K&N in the bin and put the air box back on. It wont be doing the car any favours other than impressing teenage boys with it's sound.

Derestricted air box, Vectra C air intake and a decent panel filter. Cheap and should make the car rev more freely and gain you a couple of ponies.

Any good news!! looks like its either remaping or new manifolds to get any real punch. any other ideas to consider?
