    Removing body-sida mouldings??

I need to remove my "body-side mouldings"(do you call them that?).I´m gonna let my local carpainter paint the lower parts of my doors and I need to remove the side mouldings first.

But,how are they mounted??Is there any screws from the inside, except from the tejp?
And!How do you remove them without braking them ??

i would imagine that they are glued on! Try using a scraping knife and slide it behind the mould gently..in case there are clips but i doubt it.

Looks like it's clips and tape, but I've never taken them off so I can't be sure.

Astras are clipped so would imagin the zaf is too, probably would have to replace all the clips when u put it back on, perhaps ask your painter, he might already know!

My painter didnt know.He didnt think it would be ok to fix it.He said that it would be better to buy a new one.

So..I asked my local Opel-dealer what the price was for one..Guess...
Opel Sweden wants 350Euro for the moulding on the front door.In Germany it costs 145Euro.........

So...back to the local painter again..But I would be so happy if I could find a used one to paint instead. My local painter said that the damage on my moulding is very difficult to get alright. The moulding was already damaged when I bought the car and I dont know what they have done with it.

I have asked the guys on www.zafira-forum.de where you can buy used car-parts in Germany but they only refer to Ebay. .

In Sweden Its easy to buy used car-parts but my car is rare and I dont find anything here for it.I´m not! willing to pay that kind of amounts for a plastic piece and I think its ok to get a used one.

Anyone who knows where you can get a used one??..
I`m gonna let my painter paint all my 4 lower parts of the doors so I probably need to remove all 4 mouldings, and I dont want to damage them.
