    my trip to the dump

i sorted out the spare bedroom in the house today, anyway i had a sofa and a double bed that i needed to get rid of so i loaded up the truck and off i went to the local dump, when i got there they said i'm not allowed inide in a truck as its comercial waste, tried explaining it was personal and the truck i own is a personal truck not a work one but he said i would have to pay as i am in a truck, so i thought ok sod it i will pay asked how much he wanted and they said i cant pay there i have to apply for a permit and wait 28days, so even tho i had cash i couldnt take it in, so i asked if i could park the truck outside and wheel the stuff in and he said no the only thing u can do it go home and come back in a normal car. grrr this is so much hastle it means i would take a few trips as i would have to cut the stuff up to fit it in, any way with the hump i went home and then lost my temper and thought **** it and i loaded the whole lot up on my old car, looked so funny had people pointing and laffing but i took it there and they let me in, anyway i jsut wanted to point out the fact that no wonder there is so much fly tipping going on

i know the escort is old but i have had it since it had done 10,000 miles and its now done 150,000 and it has not once broken down on me, its so reliable and very handy as a spare car cause anthing happens to my other cars also with it being a convertable its good when u need to buy stuff from B&Q etc.. as u can jsut put the roof down and load it up.

    I know its mad!!
Me and a mate went to take his dead xmas tree to tip, it was a huge tree so we threw it in back of his lwb Transit.
Got to tip, same story. You need a permit to bring the transit in here blah blah.
So we said "look we will just go dump this tree up the road and the council will have to pay people to go get it"
Guy said yea I know but thats the way it works.
So up country lanes we went, found quiet spot and threw tree over a wall, job done!!!
I know its not the right thing to do but I bet we arent the only people to ever do it!

Nice Transit. Rent one of those the odd time, great fun power sliding it round roundabouts.

Hard to beat an Escort - they're rubbish driving cars, useless steering, brakes made from wood, but if you get a good one they're cheap motoring. Dad had an ex-Royal Mail Escort van for going to work in, he ran it 3 years, spent next to nothing on it and sold it for a profit when he retired. Only cost him fuel and insurance, and the old 1.8D in it got 600 very slow miles to a tank.
