find your local ice cream company they will be desperate for workers as we get into the summer. We always hire students dont know anybody with a factory in leeds though have a search on google.

don't tell people your a student.

If you live in Leeds there must be hundreds of shops, someone will be employing. Just don't say your a student as chances are they won't look twice at you.

Or the other option is go and do agency work, that is what my mate did during the summer holidays. Work is totally random, and you will most likely end up working with a bunch of immigrants planting flowers in a greenhouse (mate did that for a week ). But at the end of the day its only a very short term job, and gets you cash in the bank

your 2nd job will be taxed at a flat rate of 22% or thereabouts. I get hit for this for the respite care work I do for my autistic brother... can't complain though as getting paid for looking after my own younger brother is a pretty good setup if you ask me

Go to job centre. At the beginning of my gap year I had some spare time between my two part time jobs and ended up working for Travelodge for 2 days moving furniture into a new building. Meant to be 8 hours a day but took 4 hours a day total = 8 hours work and were paid £90 after tax. Really funny too working with a few mates and not bad money. I'm sure a lot of retail stores will take you on otherwise get to the job centre.
