its easy to remove - its in the Haynes manual iirc - or its even been posted on here a few times - do a search and Im sure all will be revealed.

Once youve got the light off - u can then give it a damn good clean

Remove the screws holding the black cover on the inside of the boot. This should drop down easily.

Next remove the trim from around the rear window that leads up to the middle brake light.

These pop off much like door cards do. So a firm sharp pull should see them easily removed. Theres about 3 on the side and 2 on the panel with the high level brake light. Whilst doing this you'll now know why the black rear panel was removed, as it aids removal and gives you the necessary movement needed. Be careful when approaching the high level break light as I carried on ripping it off and snapped 3 mounting lugs. damit! But you should be able to twist and manipulate it free.

Ignore the wire hanging down thats my GPS reciever. You can see by the high level brake light a torx screw. Undo and your home and dry. Refitting in reverse.
