    Uni/Day release/qulification requirements

Right, I work in civil engineering and for obvious reasons want to get qualified.
Courses usually state 'Minimum of three grade C's at A2 or equivilent' but what if you don't have that?
I've got average GCSE's and an NVQ level 2 in engineering but i don't think that counts for as much as A-levels, so can anyone who is or has been in a similar situation clarify things a bit.

I'm probably looking at doing a HND or BSc at Westmister, seems about the only nearby place doing construction engineering courses. Would it be worth contacting them direct?

You should be ok with any grades.
you will just have to do key skills, if your grades are below c's.

HNC well get you in most places these days, or a lot of companies will be willing to take you on and get up to this standard.

I've just finished mine and see no need to go any further than HNC for what I want to do.

I'm half way through an HNC in electrical engineering, you'll need to start on a lower level course such as the NC as I wouldn't of thought they'd let you go straight in to the HNC, although you never know they might do. Entrance requirements are stuck in stone though, one of my mates started doing the HNC with me, and he only got one grade C at gcse.
