    Boost Gauge (pics)

Just fitted in my boost gauge, what dya think?

Didnt want to go for the DIN slot positionin as been done toooo much and the gauge isnt in the line of sight!

So i have semi submerged the gauge in the top dash vent by cutting some of the slats away. Think the positionin is suberb!

Not 't'eed' the vacumn hose to the fuel pressure regulator yet but the hose has been ran thru the bulkhead so its a 5min job 2moro! Cant wait

the guage looks good but i think if you placed it in the side of the window panel like the ones with multi guages on top of one another it would look better but I guess you have to fabricate the molding for that to accomdoate the guage. Sorry I don't have picuture of what I'm talking about..

    tks

Good position for it, spray up the back of it though IMO.

took the power from the back of the headlights/foglights switch, black wire for 12v ignition on, brown wire for earth, or was it the other way around?!? Lol tested wires with 12v circuit tester.

If silvermags you are refering to putting the gauge into the 'a' pillar then i cant due to the airbag in the 'a' pillar.

There is a spare grommet above the accelerator pedal so put the vacum hose through there. Had to drill a holl down through the vents 'pipe' to get the hose through up to the gauge.

I was intebding it to be black but TBH i rushed the job as it was getting dark and i wanted it fitted , may spray it black this weekend, but the grey colour on the back does complement the colour of the a pillars etc so may leave it!? we will see

Will see about the boost levels today montyfox, cos will connect the vacum hose up when get home from work! and yeah i have got it booked in to go on the rollers the week after next and as said previously will get the graphs up on here!

I thought that first pic was a photo shop at first. The gauge looks slightly grainy in the pic!

Looks good though, and best not to mess around with the airbag, I wouldn't want a boost gauge flying in my face if it did deploy.
