    Girlfriends car?? crunching in reverse

    Hello, i've found alot of help on this site with my astra so far and wandered if anyone could help me with another problem. My girlfriends car crunches when put into reverse and the the gears are really hard to put in when changing. (it's a 1.2 corsa a)

    ...think the clutch is spinning, what is the best thing to do?

    Has it had the gear linkage replaced? My missus corsa was a complete pain to get into gears ect. 1 gear linkage later works beautifully £50 for the linkage ex fitting
    Its a jam thing

    When you say Corsa A do you mean a Nova? Or do you mean a Corsa B K plate - X plate. If its ether of thses i could be as simple as adjusting the clutch cable.

    no not a nova mate, think its an 'L' reg - (the one without the v-grille)

    is there a guide on how to do this?

    think you may find this will be either the gear linkage needs aligning correctly, or adjust the clutch cable. If its neither of these then im afraid it could be dodgy syncro's or the clutch.

    Corsa B then In the engine bay to the right of the engine you will see the gear box, where the cabel attaches there will be a threaded adjuster, if there is a lot of play in the cable tighten up the adjuster.
