judging from ur previous posts then its a '95 Mk3 1.4 8v so Im guessing that'll be the C14NZ engine...

Anyway that aside lets establish what exactly is the problem.

    * The MFD is not working ? (radio/temp/clock display etc)

First of all make sure u havent knocked the dash dimmer knob by mistake - down by the headlight switch.

Secondly check if it may actually be the bulbs that have blown. Yes it is known for both to go at same time. The best way to determine this is to shine a torch onto the MFD to see if u can see the digits light up under the light of the torch..This would prove if its just the backlight (ie the bulbs) that have gone.

You say "all of a sudden it did not work" - Do u mean the radio stopped working OR just the radio display??? If its the first one then its not gonna be what I mentioned above!

    The Horn/Hazards? Totally inoperative???

It could be something as simple as an earthing issue - unfortunately I cant really help any more so I'll step aside and wait for someone who can hopefully point u in the right direction.

    Sorry I wasnt much use.
