    Ratteling diesel filter / pump

    Hi,

this is a very strange one to ask and i think i might have finaly lost the plot, for the last few months (far to long) I have been experiancing a ratteling noise when driving slow, its louder some days and not existant others, Anyway today it really got to me so i had a look under the bonnet and found that the big black canister which i assume is the diesel pump / filter on the buld head seems to be loose and ratteling in the plastic holder, any idea how i fix this ?? looking at it there is a large torx screw down the centre of it is it a case of just tightening this up ??

That is only the filter (and sometimes has a heater in it). You should just be able to tighten up the mounting. The Torx is the screw that holds the actual filter together.
