    Number plate poll

Which of the above do you prefer?

    T20 YAL - T Royal
    T77 OMR - TOM R

I think i prefer T20 YAL but started swaying away from it as i think people might see it as snobby (not understanding its my name) and as it'll go on my GSi when i finally get one, i'd rather not attract any unwanted attention to it.

Here's my honest opinion - so don't take it the wrong way.

Unless the person reading the plate knows your name it is unlikely that they will read the plate as you intended.

My own view is that personal plates are pretentious, and even worse they will attract the attention of villains, who will think ..hmm can afford a personal number plate lets have a closer look at the stereo.

As I say, just my opinion for what its worth.
It is only when the last tree is felled, the last animal killed and the last fish hauled from the sea that we will realise we can't eat money.

Yeah, i don't really care if joe public know what it means to be fair (unless they think "ooh err, snotty tosser" shortly before removing one of my wingmirrors with a boot!) I'd rather have a plain-ish looking one that means something to me. And these days so many people have personal reg's i dont think villains would favour a GSi with a personal reg over a regular GSi.

I see where youre coming from on the pretentious thing - but i think that depends a bit more on the reg. I've already thrown plates with TOM on them out the window (a 21st birthay pressie idea from the rents) as IMO any that actually spell a name screams 'MONEY!' - and goes hand in hand with your villain comment.

I'm getting one either way, its easy enough to get rid of again if i get fed up of it, its just choosing which ones best/less cheesy!

I dont think personalised number plates are "pretentious".
We all personalise our cars in one way or another (bodykits, alloys, etc) so is car customisation pretentious???

As for ur q, i think that if you are keeping them legal then the tom plate looks better.

If you considering illegal spacing the royal will look good!

Im not a fan of personalising the font however, think it looks cheap ie, italics.

Exactly what I was about to type. We all like to personalise our cars and imo it's one of the best "mods" you can do as you can swap it over to your next car and keep it forever.
